An Identity Crafted with Grandma's Love
Corky's Kitchen and Bakery is a charming, family-friendly restaurant celebrated for its welcoming atmosphere and classic American comfort food. The restaurant chain is named after Grandma Corky, the real-life inspiration and grandmother of one of its owners.
The design assets and marketing for the brand revolve around the warmth of her story, centering around Grandma Corky and her infinite words of wisdom, seen through her delicious food.
Recipes for Life
Recipes in the restaurant are the makings of Grandma Corky, passed down through generations.
Visually, the brand is filled with earthy colors filled with reds, greens, and browns. Old-style wallpaper fill the restaurant walls, and are also present in menus, posters, and food packaging. Wooden signs with a variety of font faces fill the space, hitting that nostalgic, charming note.
Grandma's Advice
In using quotes and life stories as backdrops for marketing material, we connect Grandma Corky to its audience, and ultimately, to the food. Grandma's recipes are not your typical kitchen list of ingredients, they are closer to words of advice.
By juxtaposing these stories with scenes of food prep, we have created a deeper connection with an elevated message. Rather than focusing solely on the great food as the key seller, we are talking about the soul of the brand, forging emotions that last longer.
